Hi, I'm E.J., but you can call me Eric if you want. I'm a Brooklyn based playwright and sound designer. I moved to New York from good ol' Laurel, Maryland to go to NYU. where I got my BFA in Acting from Tisch. Now graduated and in debt, I write plays, bake, and try to grow vegetables. I'm the Spotlight Series coordinator for Make/Shift, a company dedicated to supporting artists in the shift from muse to making, and I'm a proud member of Showdogs' Playwright's Collective.
I live in Brooklyn where I have a washer and dryer in unit so essentially I'm never moving.
I will be appearing as a recurring character on Showdogs' original webseries Wormholes! I also have composed theme music and some incidental music for the series. Check out the first two episodes out October 14th (I'm in the first episode ;))
I'll be having a ~virtual reading~ of my new play, Saint Sarah with Theater Zoomed 2 You. Price of admission is a donation to the Okra Project. Send donations via Venmo to @TheaterZoomed (with your favorite emoji) and email email@example.com. Hope to see you (virtually) there!
February 15th at 7pm and 10pm Come see a play written, rehearsed, and performed all in 24 hours. Bring me coffee. Click for tickets!
Super pumped to be joining my friends at Showdogs in their Playwrights Collective! They will be supporting me as I work on a full-length play about... something. Keep an eye out for the reading! Showdogs is a New York-based theatre collective committed to work that is provocative, diverse, and accessible to all. Click to learn more.
